Monday Reflections

I'm reflecting on the past with anticipation for the future. Often times our previous experiences will shape how we believe the future will play out. I personally have never been a part of what I would call a true movement of God where many lives were being changed on a regular basis. Honestly, I'd say very few of us have experienced something like this. However, I believe with all my heart that God's about to do something in the city of Knoxville, and The Overflow will be right in the middle of it.

I challenged our launch team last night to take God at His Word when He said He would build His church (Matthew 16:18). I want to see marriages that are on the verge of divorce find healing and reconciliation. There are people who are struggling with addictions who need to experience a release that comes from freedom in Jesus. I get excited when I think about families worshiping together and students being excited about their CHURCH and not just a student ministry. As I reflect on my prior experiences, I haven't seen these things happen with regularity, but when I reflect upon God's Word, I know it's His will!
