This Sunday, October 3rd, will be the first time our launch team will meet at South-Doyle Middle. Most of our Sunday mornings between now and January 16th will just be for planning and training purposes, but it's exciting to finally be able to start meeting in the location where God is going to accomplish so much through our worship experiences.
We are also in the process of ensuring that our launch team members have a place to serve. Each person on our launch team must make The Overflow a top priority, and they will initially do this by finding an area of serving where they can allow God's love to overflow from their life during our Sunday Worship Experiences. Asking people for commitments and giving them certain expectations is something we can't shy away from at this point. We are in a fight, a real fight with eternal destinies at stake. I'm quickly reminded of a story in Judges chapter 7 that teaches us that we must go to battle with the right people that God has chosen for the fight. We often think having the right people means having the most people possible, but this isn't always true.
With that being said, I'm so excited about the people God has placed on our launch team. These next few months will stretch and challenge our launch team unlike anything we've ever experience in our lives. If you are on our launch team and you read this, please be praying for each other and for yourself so that God will bring us to a closer and more intimate walk with Him than we have ever experienced. We will need to solely depend upon His sovereign plan and power. If you read this blog just to follow what God is doing within our group, then please pray for the commitment, protection, unity, and faith that we'll need in the months ahead!
