The Battle

As I was praying this morning, God spoke very clearly to me about the battle that is starting and in some ways has already begun. This battle is spiritual in nature. The enemy is the devil, and as we move our focus specifically into South Knoxville, he is waiting to pounce upon our launch team like a lion waiting to devour its next meal. I'm being very serious when I say, "GET READY!" I'm not trying to sound super-spiritual; I'm just trying to be real. Honestly, there is nothing more real than what we are about to do. We are on a mission to see people released from the grip of Satan, and he is going to do everything in his power to stop the movement God is about to begin. If he hasn't come after you yet, He will.

With this is mind, we all need to take this personal. You will be attacked! Your relationships will be attacked. Your focus will be tempted to go in another direction. Your commitment to our group will be challenged. Opportunities will arise that will seek to become a priority over what God has called you to do within this group. The devil will attempt to stop what God has called us to do, and he won't shy away from anyone of us.

Neverthless...

Jesus said, "I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it." Matthew 16:18.

Paul said, "No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us." Romans 8:37

The contributions you will make to God's Kingdom through The Overflow are more valuable than you will ever know. Let's go to war! We need to fight for the souls of Knoxville, and this begins in South Knoxville. It's an honor to move forward in this journey with each one of you. We have no idea what God is specifically going to do in the months ahead, but I know our God is greater than whatever we will face.

I pray you will stand firm. I pray The Overflow will be a priority for you in the months ahead beginning this Sunday.

See you Sunday morning at South-Doyle Middle, 3900 Decatur Dr, 10:00-12:00.
