Nothing excites me more than seeing God move during our time of worship on Sundays, and yesterday was no exception. I truly believe many people, along with myself, were able to walk away yesterday knowing that simply having Jesus is more than enough! We continue to see new guests each week, but we are now starting to see people come back multiple times, and these people are bringing people with them. I continue to be in awe of what God is doing through The Overflow!
We also celebrated and thanked our volunteers yesterday. This church truly isn't a one man show. Nearly 50 people help make our worship experiences happen each week, and I'm so thankful to serve alongside each volunteer. Each week we have more people wanting to get involved with our church. We've also set highs in OverflowKids each of the last two Sundays! Thanks to our Kids volunteers for all you do!
RECAP
Part 2 of our Rebellion series dealt with brokenness and disappointment. This is something we all deal with in varying degrees of severity. We can't escape the sadness that's bound to enter our lives at some point; however, we can choose how we respond to our brokenness. Our brokenness can either break us apart from God or break us down so that God can piece us back together better than we could have ever imagined.
Worship set was...
-By Your Side (Tenth Avenue North)
-All Because of Jesus (Steve Fee)
-Beautiful Jesus (Kristian Stanfill)
-Only You (The Overflow Band)
-We Will Exalt You (Hillsong)

Rebellion: Brokenness
Message...You can watch the video of the message and read the weekly devotional thoughts on our website by Tuesday afternoon.
Matthew 5:4
Philippians 3:8-10
1 Samuel 1:6-20
In my brokenness, I can experience the greatness of Christ.
-We can only experience the power of Christ in our life to the degree we are willing to admit our need for Him. He often has to break us down so that we will realize how much we need Him.
-When you are on the verge of giving up, God may be on the verge of breaking through!
Put the annoying things in their place
- Both our sin and the voices of negativity in our lives can keep us from worshiping God and receiving His comfort into our lives. We can't allow the negativity of satan to discourage us from embracing what God has in store.
Realize revelation often follows desperation
-God often moves the greatest in our lives when we are most desperate for Him to move. God may simply be waiting on us to ask Him to move in our lives or perhaps He is waiting on us to take a step of action ourselves.
Trust God can handle it
-You know Jesus is all you need when you are able to worship Him confidently even before you receive the answer to your prayer or the revelation that will give you clarity.
