In most situations when our confidence is shaken it's because our confidence has been placed in the wrong things. I know in my life when I become too dependent on myself or even on other people, God has a way of shaking up my situation so that I am forced to place my confidence solely in Him.
So today, when that situation...
involving a friend leaves you hurt and frustrated, place your confidence in the the One true friend, Jesus.
at work blows up in your face, place your confidence in the One who is ultimately your provider, Jesus.
concerning those unpaid bills never seems to go away, place your confidence in the One who has already paid your eternal bill, Jesus
regarding your health doesn't turn out like you expected, place your confidence in the One who is the greatest physician, Jesus.
directly tied to your future becomes blurry and hard to understand, place your confidence in the One who planned your future long before you were born, Jesus.
