What in your life right now causes you to either scream or want to scream? Maybe it's...
a relationship?
your job situation?
an attitude you can't shake?
the traffic on your way to work or school?
your kids who won't listen to you?
We all have those things that continue to irritate us, but in the end, we either need these things or we truly love these people. I bring good news today... You are not alone in this and there is hope.
I often forget that I'm human along with everyone else, and as a result, I end up feeling like I'm the worst person in the world because I've had a bad day. I've discovered, even though I occasionally forget, there will always be things that don't go right and tend to frustrate me. This reality is just the natural response to living in a world full of imperfect people and imperfect situations.
On the other hand, God quickly reminds me that perhaps I find myself wanting to scream because I'm placing too much self-worth/confidence in things or people other than Him. In Romans 6:21, we're asked an interesting question. While the question is asked in reference to things from our past, I think we can easily ask it about things in our present. What benefit are we reaping from the things in our life that can't even compare to God's greatness and His love for us no matter how important they may seem?
Hang in there! Don't give up! Make whatever adjustments you need to make! Remember, through Jesus, we are victorious!
