Reflections and Recap

We began our Easter series "Loved Enough" this past Sunday, and God is building great excitement and momentum within our church. We've seen an increase in attendance each of the last 3 Sundays, and we're expecting God to do something so great on Easter that it can only be explained as a miracle. Let's pray that He makes Himself known in the city in a powerful way.

I also invite each of you to join me in regularly praying for the other churches in the area. Can you imagine what could happen in South Knoxville if God moved in all the churches on Easter? I know He wants to, so let's pray that it happens!

Worship set was...
-God With Us (Mercy Me)
-Your Love Never Fails (Jesus Culture)
-Glory to God Forever (Steve Fee)
-How He Loves (David Crowder)

John 1:1-14

We're "loved enough" that God would actually come to us and show us how to live life with purpose, clarity, and direction. Jesus walked in our shoes so that we could walk in His footsteps. We ought to celebrate the fact that God didn't leave it up to us to figure out this life, but instead, He literally set the example for us.

To better understand what it means when we say "God came to us" we discussed the concepts of the Trinity, Virgin Birth, and Jesus as Divine and Human. I'd encourage you to watch the video or download the podcast if you want the details on this. www.theoverflowknox.com

Since Jesus came to us and walked in our shoes, we can now walk in His footsteps by knowing it's okay to...

Care (John 11:33-36)
Ask God to intervene (Matthew 26:39)
Move on after you get rejected (Luke 9:22-23)
Resist temptation (Hebrews 2:18)
